The 2013 season came to an end for the Saints U12G/1 premiers today when they lost 1-0 in their Champion of Champions game against Camden Tigers.
Camden scored the game’s only goal early, against the run of play.
In a very close-fought game, Saints had the attacking advantage, with many fast breakaways down the flanks, but couldn’t finish off in front of goal, where Camden’s tight defence kept them scoreless.
But it’s been a great year for the girls, who followed up their 2012 U11/1 premiership with another, as minor premiers.
Congratulations to coaches Pieter and Craig, manager Samantha and the playing squad!

The U12G/1, who finished the season as minor premiers, yesterday won their grand final 2-0 against Burwood, in a tough, even match, where their passing game eventually got the better of the opposition.

They were well supported by a large Saints crowd. This is a great result for coaches Pieter Lindhout and Craig Graham, who also took the girls to last year’s premiership as U11s.

They now go on to represent the CDSFA in the Champion of Champions.

Congratulations on a great season!
