Our Club has received a warning from Leichhardt Council regarding unauthorised use of fields for football training. I’m sure none of our teams are involved but I am obliged to pass on this important information.
If you are aware of any Saints teams training or holding impromptu matches please bring this to their attention ASAP as it can seriously impact on the Club.

I have received three separate complaints this morning regarding
football (soccer) teams training on grounds without Council permission.
Please inform your club members of the following:
1/. No ‘winter’ sporting teams have permission to use sporting grounds
for training until you have received confirmation from Council to do so.
If teams are found to be using grounds without permission, this puts
your clubs 2012 seasonal bookings in jeopardy
2/. The summer sporting codes book the WHOLE field as your club does in
winter so therefore there is no capacity for teams to use a ‘part’ of
the ground
3/. Council Rangers will be patrolling sporting grounds and those who
are found to be using them without permission will be fined
4/. The signage below is at every Council Sporting Ground and is self
explanatory.
ORGANISED USE OF THIS PARK MUST BE APPROVED IN ADVANCE WITH LEICHHARDT
COUNCIL. USE INCLUDES:
Sporting Activities Group Activities
Trading or Hawking Education Activities
Commercial Fitness Activities Public meetings
A MAXIMUM FINE OF $1100 CAN RESULT FROM FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH PARK
NOTICES
By Order of the General Manager
(As pursuant to Section 632 of the Local Government Act 1993)
Many thanks in advance for your assistance.
