2015 COACH EDUCATION PROGRAM
The Association has commenced its plans for the 2015 program of coach education opportunities. In line with recent years, there will be a continuance of hosting “female only” courses throughout the year.
As has been previously communicated the Association will be conducting both centrally run courses and some select courses at club venues. Below are the initial centrally hosted courses on offer for 2015, there will be more to follow as venues are confirmed.
Also to note is the two Coaching Updates now being run at two venues – one north and one south – with both updates conducted on the same night. This has been done to assist a greater number of coaches to attend in areas of the Association throughout the season. These dates should be put into your Club calendars to ensure members are given the opportunity to attend.

Grassroots Expo (Inc. Grassroots Football Certificate)
Wednesday 1st April 2015 @ Pratten Park – 6pm (start) to 9pm
For coaches training 5-9 year old players
The 3 hour course is fully practical and encourages the coach to develop practices that are based on FUN. The emphasis is on natural development i.e. learning by PLAYING football. No coaching but organising FUN football exercises is the key to helping players build a love for the game. Another highlight of the course is that the coaches are exposed to basic rules of the game as well as tips and hints on building a football culture in a completely practical setting.
This event will see the 2015 Winter season officially kick-off. It will be the first Grassroots coaching course for those who are starting out or yet to engage in a community football coaching pathway. With over 100 coaches in attendance in 2014, we will aim to have even more attend the 2015 edition of the Expo. There will be various presenters working different stations which include the Football NSW Coach Education Manager, senior state coaching Presenters/Instructors, together with local highly regarded coaching course Presenters/Instructors.
