It helps us plan team numbers accurately with Football Canterbury and gives us the best chance of honouring friend requests. Some age groups fill up before the season starts, and returning players who register late risk missing out on a place.

We do our best to honour friend requests, particularly in non-graded teams, and registering early gives you the best chance of this. You can note friend requests when you register through PlayFootball.

Current fees by age group are listed on our How to Register page. Most of the fee is passed straight through to Football Australia, Football NSW and Football Canterbury - only a portion is retained by the club.

Refunds depend on how much of the season has started. Full details are on our Fees, Refunds and Fines page.

Football Canterbury issues fines to the club for things like red cards or an unfilled ground official role, and the club passes these on. See Fees, Refunds and Fines for what's fined, who pays, and how.

Grading helps us form our top teams in each age group and is optional - every player gets a place at the club whether or not they attend. See Grading and Team Formation for dates, times and how it works.

Grading is usually held over two Sundays in November, ahead of registration opening in January. Confirmed dates are on the Grading and Team Formation page.

That's fine - non-graded teams are formed around friendship groups, and every player who registers gets a place. See Grading and Team Formation for how team formation works.

Check Is My Game On?. For Under 8 and older, Dribl is the only source of truth for ground closures - not the council website. For MiniRoos, Under 6 and Under 7, we post any changes on our Facebook page.
