CONGRATULATIONS LEICHHARDT SAINTS FOOTBALL CLUB!
Our humble soccer club has won the 2010 Bert Harvey Memorial Trophy, out of all 23 affiliated clubs in the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association.
This prestigious award recognises what we all already know about the Saints football philosophy: fair play, sportsmanship, a fair go for everyone, play by the rules.
We have been awarded this trophy because we have yet again put our ethos into action on and off field; out of all the CDSFA clubs, we have had the fewest players sent off per capita – only once in the whole 2010 season. Compare this with another club in the district which received 60 send-offs.
There you have it – we truly are Saints!
