INTRODUCTION OF SMALL SIDED GAMES (SSG) FOR 2009 IN CDSFA

The CDSFA (Canterbury and District Soccer Football Association), along with other Districts throughout NSW, is committed to implementing in full the FFA's (Football Federation Australia) programme for small sided games (SSGs) for all ages 6 - 12 inclusive by 2011.

This will be done progressively and we now advise the guidelines for the 2009 season.

Summary of the Mode of Competition for 2009

Under 6 4 (no goalkeeper) 30 x 20m (Half a mini approx)
Under 7 5 (no goalkeeper) 30 x 20m (Half a mini approx)
Under 8 7 (goalkeeper) 40 x 30m (Mini pitch approx)
Under 9 9 (goalkeeper) 60 x 40m (Half pitch approx)
Under 10 9 (goalkeeper) 60 x 40m (Half pitch approx)
Under 11 11 Full field
Under 12 11 Full field
